Please help me to find or to be helped in design twenty-fourteen theme

    How to display in site side bar in twenty-fourteen on the right opposite to the categories menu or visa verse on the left. I want to display adds and comments and links and videos and more things in the right side of page as there is just big empty space. How do I do this or were can I find the directions to do this. Really would appreciate some help as I have wasted nearly a day trying to get now were. Once upon a time I had Posts on the right but that’s not there anymore and don’t know how to get it back.
