PLEASE HELP on the home page design for swell theme

  This is regarding my artist website on swell theme – artofaiyana.wordpress.com. I am not satisfied with the design of the home page which is the most critical page.
  Please help me with the design.

  1. The text of the home page reappears on top of the featured image. How do you remove the text overlapping the featured image.

  2. Is there a way of removing the featured image? When I dont upload a featured image then there is a big grey band with the home text that appears.
  I m just not getting a handle on the home page design.

  Hi aiyana! Have you seen the support page for Swell?

  I think this duplication is happening because you haven’t filled in any of the other parts of the Home page template. The support page I linked above walks through all of the different sections. Can you tell me which sections you want to use and which you don’t?
