Please help retrieve my website

  We have lost all access to our website and it states that there is a ‘HTTP ERROR 500’ when typing in the domain name.

  We cannot access the admin to log in to the site either.

  I have tried using the ‘Recover my account’ option but do not have a transaction ID, Activation URL or key and we did not set up two factor authentication as we paid someone externally to develop our website. We no longer have contact with this person so we are unable to recover these details.

  Our Domain and Webhosting is with BT and they looked in to this but were unable to help, stating it would appear the site had been hacked. Apparently the files had all been put in quarantine.

  Is there a way to recover the site or the files or do we need to build the site again?

  We can’t help as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform. You must take a look in the documentation at wordpress.org to solve this problem yourself.
