Please help with permalink between posts!

I need help:-(
All I am trying to do is create a link between my own posts so that I can generate the “Related Posts” list … I can see the permalink address of each of my posts when I am in the edit mode, so I copy it – then I go into the post that should have the “related link at the bottom” click the link-button – window pops up – I insert the link, the description, how I want it display – I save and click “Preview” – I can see the link and then….
well, then I click on the link (I prefer that it opens in a new window) and it works, window opens, BUT the message says that there is nothing to display! I see my site but the placeholder for the actual poste is empty, thre is only that message…Seems like permalink is not pointing to the right page or I don’t know where to get the “right” permalink?
I am desperate by now – tryed different combinations all day!!!

You’ve already asked this question in another thread you started. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/settings-permalink-panel-i-do-not-see-this-permalink-panel?replies=9
To see the threads you’ve started or posted in, click on your username at the top of the forum and you will get a list.We need a link to your wordpress.COM blog please.

I’ve posted this question (the other version you are relating to) in a topic that was raised by another user without actually realising that that was what I was doing:-)… I still would really appritiate an answer here or in that old topic…

how do I create a sample? do you mean you need screenshot of the error message or all screenshots step-by-step of what I am doing?

Without being able to see a post where this has occurred, I can’t look at the source code to see what happened, so the following will be a general guess at things. Screenshots will not do any good.
When you get ready to create your own related posts, write in the text you wish to use as a link in the editor (possibly the title of the post). Next open another browser window or another tab and navigate to the single-post page for the post you want to link to. Copy the URL from the browser address bar. Go back to the post you wish to put the link in and highlight the text you want used as the link. Click on the “link” icon in the toolbar and paste in the URL of the post that you copied.
Alternately, and this works well and requires less steps. Open a second browser window and navigate to the post you want to use as possibly related. Place the cursor where you want the link to be. Now switch to the other window (make sure the browser windows are sized and arranged so that you can still see the editor in the other window).Click on the title of that post and drag it to the editor window and release. This keeps the blog title as the text and brings in the link as well.
