Please help with uploading large photos in batch to Modularity Lite template!

Hello My blogs are http://pashphotography.wordpress.com and http://changingcoasts.wordpress.com ~ my username is changingcoasts.

I have a 3 part question that seems quite simple but I’ve been banging my head against a wall for days trying to solve it.

I would like to do 3 things.

    1) Upload large photos quickly and easily to my blogs (primarily my http://pashphotography.wordpress.com site which has a Modulairty Lite template- without having to tediously go and post one photo at a time – I often have 50plus photos per day to add.

2)Add them in a batch but have them display one following the next (not in the column view/thumbnail link style) like in the gallery option.

I have tried hosting photos with flickr and even uploading with a program called pixelpipe and neither does the job. Pixelpipe photos upload small (around 250px) and flickr can only be posted one at a time using their ‘blog this’ feature.

Does anyone know of ANY way to post photos in a large scale (850px or more on long side) in a batch type setting (where you can pick your photos and just walk away from the computer??) I should also state that I use Mac computers (if that makes any difference).

    Thank you kindly in advance!!!

The only uploader we have is the “Image Uploader”, either from within a Post or Page or from the Media Library. If you use the Flash uploader, you can select multiple images to upload at once. You mention you use a Mac; what browser are you using?

If you want to display your images “full size” in a vertical row after you upload them in your Post or Page, you can insert them as a Gallery, but then you’ll have to switch to the HTML Editor tab and then add the following to the Gallery shortcode: columns="1"

At the present time, you can only use the Gallery function on images that are uploaded to your WordPress.com account and not images that are hosted externally.

Since we are talking a photography blog, may I suggest you read http://gammagirl.wordpress.com/2008/07/27/not-the-official-wordpresscom-gallery-faq/ and the links therein, especially those that have to do with image quality.

One other tip: If you have a lot of photos on your blog, it might be a good thing to limit the number of posts you have displayed to 1 or 2 at the most.
