Please help: Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension…
-
Hello WordPress community, I’m hoping someone on here can help me out. Suddenly my site is down and displaying the following message: “Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.” Now from what I’ve read, my PHP plugin is most likely no longer compatible with the current version of WordPress. Something along those lines. I’ve reached out to my web hosting company and they have not been helpful thus far. How can I access my files again? My site is “paulzeye.com.” Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi there!
I’m afraid that, you won’t get much help on this forum. paulzeye.com is using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Hostpapa.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
