Please include more options in "Recent Posts" and "Tops posts and pages"

  I’ve been wondering, why isn’t there additional options in the widgets where the “Recent Posts” can show thumbnails of the posts and the “Top posts and pages” can show posts only without pages and have them also based on all-time views not just recent 48-hour stats? It’s annoying that my popular posts change from day to day especially when it starts showing posts that are not that popular. I would also like to have the option of selecting posts to show based on my recommendation. I know you can do it, I believe in you WordPress!

  Hi there – I’ll pass along your suggestion. In the meantime, you can use a plain Text Widget to create your own list of top posts. You can even display images with them using HTML, similar to the sample HTML in this doc:
