Please incorporate features of Roundit Plugin into WordPress core

  • Unknown's avatar

Have been looking for something like this plugin as a core feature of WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/roundit/. It has not been updated for some years. Specifically, seeking the ability to add styling data (roundness, border width, colour and thickness) via the Media Library on a resource-by-resource (e.g. media resource) basis.

    Benefit
    – Allow images to have style information set in an intuitive location, and achieve the rounded image look with ease (or at minimum, class name)
    – Avoid css / HTML editing for non-developers maintaining site
    – Can hide under ‘Edit more detail’ of each individual media item

Apologies if this has been requested before, I couldn’t find a similar idea/enhancement

    Hi,

Unfortunately, since the Business Plan Supports 3rd Party Plugins and themes, we a cannot say if most of them are good or not.

Additionally, we cannot be able and understand your request. Keep in mind that you should keep making threads as this will slow down the forum replies.

Since you have the Business plan it looks like, you could do a live chat session with the Support Team by:

“Little person icon” > the ? Mark > Scroll down to “Contact Us” and you’ll be set.

    Thanks,
    Jamie.

Hi there @luckyd83 – You’ve posted in the forums for sites hosted on WordPressdotcom. Looking at your site dylan-lewis.com, it seems you are using the standalone WP software on your site and are hosted at GoDaddy.

To suggest incorporating something into WordPress *core* your best bet is to head over to https://make.wordpress.org While anyone is welcome to post into our Ideas forum here, it would be more practical to post your suggestion over at ORG.

WordPressdotcom is separate from standalone WP, with different documentation and forums. For clarity on the differences you’ll want to read this support guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Cheers!

@realsimpleway Thanks for helping out here.

An easy way to see whether someone’s custom domain is hosted here on WordPressdotcom is to check their domain in the ICANN WHOIS record and see where their nameservers are pointing. This is also mentioned in our Volunteers’ Guide I referenced earlier in a different reply to you: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-com-volunteers/

Again, any user is welcome to post to our Ideas forum, which is described as:

Ideas, Suggestions, and Conversations about blogging on WordPress.com

, but it helps if they are hosted here on WordPressdotcom :) Thanks again.

    Howdy!
Thanks for the responses. If possible, please delete my initial post, as it adds noise to the discussion forum.

I posted this to WordPress.com in error, and have since posted to WordPress.org as it relates to the self-hosted core offering.

Hello again @luckyd83, Forum posts can only be deleted if they represent a valid security or personal safety concern. You can find this information in our Forums Community Standards: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-forums-community-standards

So no worries about noise; it happens. :) I’ll go ahead and close this thread.

    Best wishes.
