“Please Leave A Comment” Widget???

  All I want is a simple, catchy little sidebar widget that encourages comments. I have a few on my Blogger blogs, but WP won’t take javascript, so….??? Stands to reason this would be a pretty requested item for any blog. Any help??

  Use a text widget and put an image or straight text in it asking people to comment…

  Thanks, feartheseeds…I thought of that, but I’m afraid I don’t know how to make it catch the eye…unless I found, say, a cartoon whose html would translate to WP Text.

  Just my view. I think you cannot encourage people to comment by posting any type of catchy widget or picture. People would comment when they feel like it, or you would have to be a very engaging host to get comments out of your visitors.

  You can easily find a cartoon or any other image you like, upload it to your blog via Media > Add New, copy its URL and use it in a Text widget or an Image widget. If you mean you don’t know the html for images, see here:
