Please move the "signout" link back to the top of the Public Profile page!
-
When WP redesigned the Stats page (for the worse), users were forced to go to the Public Profile page to sign out of WP. The link for the signout used to be at the top left-hand of the page, next to the @username. Today that link is no longer there. It was only through scrolling that I discovered it has been moved to the very bottom of the left-hand page column, under “Extras”.
So what used to be a simple one-click signout, through the classic Stats page, now requires clicking to another page *and* scrolling down on that page *and* clicking to log out.
After the debacle with the boop-boop-beep new Editor, I can’t believe that WP has made yet another user-unfriendly design change. Seriously, I am stunned. How can the user experience be so consistently ignored? Please put the signout link back where it was. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey Fiona,
If you’re unhappy with the newer editor, I recommend you use the classic version:
https://allaboutworkdotorg.wordpress.com/wp-admin/You can bookmark that page and go straight to it, should you prefer, bypassing the newer editor. You don’t have to use any of the new tools, if they’re not intuitive or convenient for you!
However, if you have feedback on the new editor, wish to use it, but want to make suggestions about the design, please leave your note here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas
I can pass the information along, but it helps to have our users add to that forum as well.
Many thanks for the input. I’ll share it with the staff here.

@thatrobyn
Thank you, but I have no desire whatsoever to use the new editor, for all the reasons expressed by myself and other users in this thread:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-reinstate-the-option-of-choice-to-use-the-old-publishing-format?replies=591Could you please explain the reasons for moving the “signout” link, and indicate whether WP plans to return it to the more user-friendly location?

Hi Fiona,
I am not sure about the developer’s reasoning, and we’re not given a timeline for future changes, but I will pass your concerns along. I’ve added your thread to a requests list for our staff. That’s the best I can do.
You do have complete access to that classic dashboard, as I mentioned, and since you don’t want to use the new editor, you should be all set to work on your WordPress.com site as you wish.
Thanks again.
