Please post a link to sliders/carousels setup instructions

  I am using wordpress.com with the theme iTheme2

  I have been searching through the http://learn.wordpress.com/ and the other help documents for instructions to set up the sliders / carousels. I have not found any web page describing this. Can someone post a link to these instructions.

  I have followed the instructions on the web page http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/itheme2/ but the featured image display does not show up. Below are the steps I took for a post and a page. Can you see any step I am missing?

  **** Post ****
  1) I have added a Featured Image to a post
  2) Added the featured image into the post body
  3) Set the post as Sticky
  4) Updated the Post

  **** Page ****
  1) I have added a Featured Image to a page
  2) Added the featured image into the page body
  3) There are no Sticky option on a page settings
  4) Updated the Page

  a) Yes, sticky applies to posts only, not pages, so the carousel can only display featured posts (as the theme page says).

  b) The carousel shows up on your main posts page, which normally would be your blog front. You’ve set your front to display a static page instead, but you haven’t set a posts page.

  Thank you, I think I have it working. I would like to make sure I understand this correctly. Are the two items below correct?

  1) The featured-post carousel will only appear when the home page is set to ‘Your Latest Posts’ and will not appear when using ‘A Static Page’

  2) The feature-carousel list will not show Pages (only sticky posts).

  You’re welcome.

  2 is correct, 1 is not. The FP carousel will appear on your main posts page. If your homepage is set to display your latest posts, the carousel will appear on your homepage. If your homepage is set to display a static page and another page is set as your posts page, the carousel will appear on that page.
