Also in the meantime, I did find this example of an ecommerce site in the WordPress Showcase https://wordpress.org/showcase/method-products/ The Showcase has many more examples, but most are large businesses rather than SMB’s.

We haven’t found any similar examples among your existing Woocommerce. If there are relevant examples, please provide some for reference.

This is generally a rule of thumb that’s determined by the payment gateway in use. Generally, you can’t far wrong with a payment gateway like Stripe: https://woocommerce.com/products/stripe/ :)

I’m not too sure what you’re referring to – are you asking about indirect distribution models such as wholesalers, retailers, distributors etc?
