Yeah, it’s part of that caching bug from before. If we removed the throttle now, it would be back in about an hour or less.
The only way to stomp out that bug is to upgrade to bbPress 2, but that can get messy with the current setup, so we’re trying to get some other things out of the way first.

justjennifer, pretend you were manually updating a copy of WordPress 2.0, which was full of core hacks, to WordPress 3.4.1 on a site with several thousand visits per hour. ;)
We’ll get it, there’s just some housekeeping that needs to be done first, which you might see as early as next week.

I keep running into it headlong. Probably hitting the “Submit” button on too many open tabs at once. :)

Only a few small bits of the housekeeping are done. Fortunately, we may have a more permanent solution in place before we upgrade to bbPress 2.
We haven’t forgotten about you awesome folks. ;)
