    I have two questions: 1. I recently deleted my dot com site, but forgot to delete my avatar and profile description; so my current Gravatar image/description is overrode by it. The site was solomonswizdom.com. Since it was on a WordPress platform, can you please delete that information? I don’t have access to the dashboard anymore, 2. I have a blog listed on my Gravatar profile that isn’t mine. It’s MAR Social. I don’t know how it got there, since it’s a site that I visited but don’t own. I also can’t remove it, because there isn’t a method to delete it. I want to delete my solomonswizdom too, since it’s no longer an active site. I’d appreciate your assistance with both these issues. Thanks.

    Hi, I have recently followed then promptly un-followed a blog “astreetse.wordpress.com” while looking into some unsavoury behaviour. I believe my account has been hacked through this following. Certain aspects of my blog have changed, is there a way to check into this. My suspicions have further been raised with the follow from another blog MKesling.wordpress.com, with similar aspects to the first.
    Can you advise? Thank you in advance.

    @marietheresa999

    What is the URL the blog you refer to?
    Is it http://marietheresa.com/ ?

    If any person or any bot is posting anything to your blog then you have provided them with the ability to do so either deliberately by adding them as official users, or by allowing them access to your login information, or by posting content that makes it easy for them to guess what your log-in information is.

    Who, aside from you, has access to your login information?

    Go to your email program and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs

    1. If you can log-in go here > Users > All Users and delete any user that does not belong there.

    2. Disable post by email > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/

    3. Disable post by voice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-voice/

    4. Change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password

    5. Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.

    6. Set up two step authentication http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/

    Then read this please knowing that blogs don’t get hacked when security protocols are followed. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/

    I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

    Thank you for your reply Time Thief. I will again check into the controls you suggest. My worry was that even with strict controls and two step verification and being the only user of my blog that it is possible to be “hacked” through a follow of another blog.

    I will of course adhere to your suggestions.

    Thank you again for your timely response.
