Please restore my widgets

Thought I was just relating to the others that I’m having the same issue. Or a similar one.
Obviously there is a problem. Obviously we aren’t alone.
-
I was under the impression for a day and a half that I was alone. I wish I was told straight away that multiple bloggers had a problem then I would have been a lot more relaxed about the issue.

@bluefishway
I didn’t know there were others who also had the same issue when I responded to you above. We aren’t even sure if it is the same issue at this point because we don’t know which browsers the others with this issue are using.
Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. Note: If you are running browser add-ons and extensions that can be problematic. Some like DNT (do not track) and Ghostery are problematic. So what to do is to disable all browser extensions and add-ons and see if that works. -
P.S. I hope that everyone is aware that we Volunteers do our best to help. We are not to blame for any issues one may have when it comes to obtaining Staff support. So if there is any venting to be done I hope those who feel the need to vent don’t stoop to directing that those who are trying to help.

Hey TT you know I am not getting on at you and how helpful you are. It’s a Staff problem and I have known that quite early on. Friends?
Okay I have a brand new laptop with IE9 with no frills. I am using it as it came out of the box. I did have Simple Ad Block which I uninstalled as it blocked my flag counter months ago. Other than that I am a simple blogger….. -
Hi Ralph,
Of course we are still friends. Thanks for posting your browser information. This may turn out to be an issue with IE9. I’m using Firefox 15.0.1 and don’t have any issues at all. -
I have had a look at my IE9 and have found nothing out of the ordinary. I have lost all my sidebar Text tabs, blog roll, posts I visit, meta, stats, 50 followers, tag cloud. I think that is all.
The available widgets drag normally as far down as RSS. RSS and all the rest are seized solid -
I have the same exact problem as you do. Still waiting for support. And I don’t mean to be irritated with the Volunteer help, just frustrating that no ‘Staff’ have responded to this – even if it’s just a blanket ‘hey, we are aware there is a problem and we are attempting to fix it’ post so that the rest of us aren’t scrolling thru all this trying to find the ‘answer’ on our own.
I don’t think it’s my browser as I’m using the most updated version and this is the first time this has happened.
What do you mean when you say ‘seized solid’? Do you mean the widgets? Because I can’t select several of them to add to the sidebar. It sounds like we are having the same problem. :(

trishmarie, please return to your own thread where there are questions waiting for you: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/support-help-1

bluefishway, I’m not having trouble adding widgets to your sidebar.
Would you please let me know one widget that you’re trying to add which isn’t working for you, and where you’d like it? Also, if the widget requires specific settings, please let me know what those are.
-
Hi MM I’m pleased you are here. I just went back to my dashboard/widgets. Available widgets RSS to the end…left click/hold to drag …..nothing. and where are my lost sidebar widgets???
-
I’m able to move the widgets without issue. As for the lost ones, I’m not sure. What’s there now appear to be all that was there.
Would you please try in a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome?
-
I cannot access text. My blog roll containing medical and business URLs has vanished, will take me ages to replace. I know how to use widgets !!!
-
-
This issue appears to limited to just Internet Explorer for now. While we work on fixing this, would you please try a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome?
Your Blogroll widget just pulled links from the Links section of your Dashboard, and those are all still there.
If you add a new Blogroll widget, it will pull the same links.
-
Why is WordPress a problem. You are giving me unnecessary stress. IE9 has been great for 3 months. I did not touch IE9. I dragged an image tab across to RHS and half my widgets vanished. NO!! I will not change my IE9.
