Please restore my widgets

It’s not a requirement to change, we just ran into a problem and are tracking it down. For now, Firefox or Chrome will work just fine.

If you don’t need to make changes to the widgets right now, please hang in there while we get this fixed with IE.

There is no blog roll widget in my available widgets or on my side bar

Yes, we’re still working on the issue with IE. If you need to work with widgets now, please try Firefox or Chrome.

This has been fixed now, sorry for the trouble!

If you lost any widgets, please first check the Inactive Widgets area at the bottom of Appearance -> Widgets in your blog’s Dashboard. If they aren’t there, please let us know the type of widgets that you lost.

Bluefish – it has not been mentioned here yet (don’t yell at me again Macmanx – just paying forward what worked for me lol) but have you checked your compatibility button at the top of the page in your browser?

I had your same problems – did everything you have, moved over to Chrome and it was working there. Then one of the volunteers suggested checking IE for the compatibility. I clicked on it and then voila – moving widgets worked! I was not able to retrieve lost widget info BUT I was able to rebuild my sidebar. I’m going to stick with Chrome for now, as it’s moving a lot better than IE anyway. I do hope this helps. I totally feel your pain.

If it wasn’t the middle of the day I would pour myself a stiff drink and distribute it out on the forum here. LOL G’luck!

To check to make sure you are not running IE9 in compatibility mode and to disable that see here > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

All available widgets are now dragging….thank you so much MM and TT. I will rebuild the lost widgets…the blog roll was the one I was really worried about but that is okay. I owe you some sun,sea and sangria. Cheers!!

You’ve been very patient and wonderful throughout the weekend when I was going on a bit. I don’t know how you do this volunteer work without having a breakdown. Thanks again TT and next time we meet maybe it will be under less stressful conditions. Take care. Ralph xx
