Please retrieve my blog post (disappeared without my trashing it)

One of my blog posts disappeared today, just a minute after I hit its link on my stats page. I tried to edit it after reading it and I could not find it. I feel insecure now about my 800 other posts that I can’t inspect everyday.
WP.com: Yes

My article on husband-wife relationships was, fortunately, available on another site, so I re-blogged it back from there. Here is the link: https://jasbirchatterjeephotoblog.wordpress.com/2022/08/11/husband-wife-relationship-each-to-his-own/
I look forward to your kind advice and support. Jasbir

Hi,
I’m seeing that your account deleted ~10 posts a few months ago. That is likely the cause of the issue.
If you feel your account has become unsecured, I would encourage you to change your password:
https://wordpress.com/support/passwords/
…and also set up two step authentication:
https://wordpress.com/support/security/two-step-authentication/
Take a look and let us know if anything is unclear or you have any further questions.

I have changed the password. But 2-step authentication sounds too complicated. It may give me added security, but it will make things more difficult. I feel it’s better to first save my work and then post it on my blog. So, if it disappears, I can re-blog it. What do you think?

Deleted posts stay in the “trash” for 30 days. But once that deadline has passed, there is no way to recover them, I’m afraid.

This sounds like an Alexa kind of an automated response. My post got removed today, it’s day 1!

Hi there,
From your original question:
One of my blog posts disappeared today, just a minute after I hit its link on my stats page. I tried to edit it after reading it and I could not find it.
I’m hoping you can clarify, this is an older post you published some time ago, and you were accessing it recently so that you could edit it? If so, do you recall when you published it recently? I see that the original post (that you reblogged) from https://husbandwiferelationship.com/husband-wife-relationship-each-to-his-own/ appears to be from 2018. Did you publish the same content on jasbirchatterjeephotoblog.wordpress.com sometime in 2018 as well?
Thanks for the additional info!
-
Yes, you’re right. I published this post a few years ago. A friend viewed it this month, so its link appeared on stats page. I read it two days ago from there and thought of editing it. I could not find it. It had a photo of two pigeons in it. The fresh one has a pair of peacocks.
-
Hi again,
Thanks for confirming. It’s difficult to find content based on the photos it had associated with it. This is the only post on your site from 2018 with two pigeons in it is this one: https://jasbirchatterjeephotoblog.wordpress.com/2018/07/13/being-poles-apart/
Is that the missing post? If not can you let us know
– the approximate date you published the post originally (Ex. May of 2018)
– The title you think you used for the post
– The URL of the post (if you know it)Any other info you can think to provide will also help, thanks!
-
No, this is not the one I mean. The article I lost published around 3 March 2018 had this link from the website of HWR: https://husbandwiferelationship.com/husband-wife-relationship-each-to-his-own/. It’s title was the same as in this link and the 2 pigeons were the same as those in this published article of HWR.

I can’t quite figure out what happened to that post, but I believe that it got deleted by accident.
When checking your blog’s log, I found out that you regularly delete posts, so maybe you deleted that one by accident.
I’ll have another look at your blog and If can find anything, I’ll let you know.

Now that you have mentioned about my deleting regularly, you’ve got me scared!
I have changed the password. But if this doesn’t work, maybe I should move to a safer blogging platform.
