Please return the old login
-
Hello. I accidentally changed my username and then only found out that it is no longer possible to return it. Please return the old login – it is vital for our project. Thank you. #modlook
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Hi there!
Can you let us know what the URL is of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
NOTE: We can only assist with websites hosted at WordPress.com. If you’re using the WordPress software, but hosted elsewhere, you will need to reach out to your hosting provider or the WordPress.org community for guidance:

Thank you!

Hello. I have no problems with the site. I just want to return the login I replaced with the current one – https://prnt.sc/26essil.
Please make the login beesyst available, now it is not available due to my fault – I did not know that it would be impossible to return the login after replacement. Thank you.
-
Now it says that the login is busy, but it is not, I just can not get it back after replacing it.

Hi @5tsizlq3,
Once you change your username, you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use.
You can learn more about that here: https://wordpress.com/support/change-your-username/
You might want to consider switching to a similar username, or updating your display name.

Yes, I know about that. Unfortunately, I found out about it after I changed my login and I certainly didn’t think there would be such consequences.
Please help me get my login back. I would be very grateful to you. I think it is unfair that the login will not be usable. Thank you.

As a Staff member already explained, you can’t. Once deleted, it gets blocked forever and there is no way around.

The deletion of the login was an accident. I’m sure it’s possible to get the login back. Please help.

We’ve explained that once you change your username, you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. We also warn you of this during the username change process.
It is not possible to get that username back under any circumstances, so you will need to choose an alternative.
Hope that clarifies things.

Hello. I understand everything, but I don’t understand why you can’t help me. Please don’t think that all your messages don’t reach me.
I spent half a day yesterday trying to regain access to the account, as we resumed the project, which is tied to this account. After restoring it, I decided to change my login to activate it on another account without seeing the warning notice. This is my fault, but you can help me.
I understand that there are rules and regulations, and I also understand that I’m bothering people with my request.
If it wasn’t important to me, I wouldn’t be posting here. All of the sites I have made are on the WordPress CMS and I am very grateful to the community for developing and appreciate and respect what you do.
Also, I urge you to pay attention to the fact that we waste time and keep doing this instead of just restoring my login. I know you can have me banned and sanctioned, but that would solve my problem.
Please help me restore my login:
1. Who should I write to?
2. What to buy?
3. Where and what to change?
4. Ready for anything.Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi there,
When you change your account’s username it’s impossible to switch back to it. That’s due to the way the WordPress.com platform is designed.
I urge you to pay attention to the fact that we waste time and keep doing this instead of just restoring my login.
You haven’t lost access to your WordPress.com account. It’s the same account just with a different username. So, you can continue using it same as before.
