  I cant add the domain http://www.mennieitconsulting.com to my blog address at http://www.mennieitconsulting.wordpress.com. I own the domain, or I did within the last 24 hours. Please add it to my blog.

  When I try to add it I get the following error:

  “Unable to map mennieitconsulting.com
  The domain mennieitconsulting.com has already been registered on WordPress.com. Please contact support if you would like to map this domain again.”

  Hi there,

  It appears that you cancelled the domain mennnieitconsulting.com yesterday. You are welcome to register a different domain on your account now, as I have cleared the system records for the domain you cancelled.

  I have noticed that I have “Checking DNS” for the status of the upgrade for the past 4 hours. Is this normal?

  The domain mennnieitconsulting.com is no longer a functional domain on your account since you cancelled it. If you wish to use a custom domain on your site, you will need to register a new one first.

  If you wish to register it again, you will need to wait for the registrar to release the domain to the public, which may take several days.

  I am not referring to mennnieitconsulting.com – but my other domain I have mennieitconsulting.com. Notice the difference in the spelling. I cancelled mennnieitconsulting.com already, and registered mennieitconsulting.com and added it to my blog: mennieitconsulting.wordpress.com. However the DNS needs to be updated by wordpress, as I registered the domain through wordpress.

  Please update the nameservers to point to NS1.wordpress.com, and NS2.wordpress.com for my domain http://www.mennieitconsulting.com.

  Sorry for the confusion. It looks like the two domains got switched out somewhere along the way.

  I’ve got your domain at mennieitconsulting.com set up and it’s working now. If you don’t see it yet, please allow up to 72 hours for the DNS records to propagate across the internet so your domain shows up everywhere.

  In the meantime you can access your blog’s Dashboard directly at http://mennieitconsulting.wordpress.com/wp-admin
