    Hi Noel, it looks like you deleted this domain some time ago, and it’s going through a redemption process now:

    The registrar charges an $80 fee to retrieve it at this point, in addition to the regular renewal fee. Since it’s pretty time-sensitive, I’ll send an invoice now so you can take care of that right away. We can reach out to the registrar as soon as it’s paid.

    Or if you prefer, you can just let that process continue. The redemption period usually takes several weeks, and there’s a significant chance of losing the domain to another buyer if someone else happens to want it. If you want to use that option, let us know so we can cancel the invoice.

    To whom ever concern.
    First $80 dollar your robbing the customer when I first done this whole transaction no money was ever brought up accept the AUTH CODE and wait 26 day before they could release my domain I would report this corrupted $80 dollar. I send out a letter to FCC THEY WOULD CONTACT YOU. I SCREEN SHOT YOUR EMAIL. who in hell would paid $80.00 just to get back a domain i’ll tell you what this is corruption your would hear from FCC again read carefully poncho
    WHEN PRECIOUS THIS WHOLE TRANSACTION TRANSFER ALL I PAID WAS $8.00 AND WHEN I DECIDEDED THAT CREATING A SITE WITH WORDPRESS IT WAS TOO HARD TO CONFIGURE.     Hi NC, this is a worldwide standard with .com domains. A canceled domain will soon enter a redemption period before it is released, as outlined here. The registrar charges $80 for redemption.

    If you don’t want to take care of the redemption fee, you can wait. Just note (as the article from ICAAN shares) a released domain can be bought by anyone. If someone else buys it, you’ll be out of luck. That’s why there’s a redemption period.

    Again, this is a worldwide standard for .com domains bought anywhere, and unfortunately, we don’t have more control over that process, and even the FCC can’t change that.

    I’d recommend paying the invoice so you don’t risk losing the domain. But if you would rather wait it out (risky) you can. Just let us know. Then once you have the domain back, be sure you never cancel it, regardless of where it’s registered, unless you are positive you will never use it again. You would want to change the domain settings to change hosts instead, or transfer it to change registrars. Just note ICAAN has rules about the frequency of transfers, too.
