Please, unmap domain
-
Dear WordPress manager,
Could you, please, unmap a domain for our website as we changed the name and will go under a new domain which we already purchased and will add later on?
We would like to have this adamlab.ca unmapped from our adamlabsite.wordpress.com. Also, please, let me know if we can map a new one after this is done.
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi sharunov,
If you have access to the domain dashboard at your domain registrar, then you can point that domain’s DNS to any website hosting provider you choose, including the site you set up here on wordpress.com at adamlabsite.wordpress.com.
Domain mapping is included in any of the paid upgrade plans.

You can check the pricing here:

I hope this helps

Hi,
Thanks for reply. Yes, we know that, and we already mapped one free domain as we pay a premium plan. But the person who made the website at first made a mistake in our name and domain, so now we have to unmap the one with mistake and map with the correct one which we recently purchased. However, there is no option to delete the bad one. And we cannot pay for an extra one because we just need to delete the bad one or change for the correct one. Or, we will have to delete the whole website and start all over again.

Hi there,
so now we have to unmap the one with mistake and map with the correct one which we recently purchased. However, there is no option to delete the bad one. And we cannot pay for an extra one because we just need to delete the bad one or change for the correct one.
So you know, WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund from date of purchase on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers and the refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. It can take between 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement.
I will tag this a “modlook” for a staff member to help with the unmapping of the wrong domain name. Be patient please while they take it up from me.
I hope this helps

Hi,
Thanks, but the website was created long time ago. I am a new moderator working on this. And I have a lot to fix in there…. So… unfortunately I have no choice but to ask for help with this. Thanks a lot. ^_^

Hi there,
Can you contact us from the account that owns the upgrade? I will need to verify ownership in order to proceed with the unmapping.
Let me know, thanks!

Hello,
I am a research and administrative assistant of my supervisor Dr. Qureshi, he intentionally asked me to solve this problem as he does not have time to work on the website. This website is for our lab and I am in charge of the upgrade and all related questions. I will let him know that you requested this information, however I do not know how much time this may take. If you can help me solve this faster, this will be deeply appreciated. I have all emails related to the purchases and his login information. If you need any of this information, please, let me know.
Also, please, let me know how we can contact you in person to provide any verifying information to keep it confidential and continue with this topic directly without starting a new forum page.
Thank you in advance.

Hello, Darnell,
Could you, please, help us to unmap our current domain of “adamlab.ca”, which is wrong, so that we could link it with the correct one? As you requested, I am contacting you from the account from which I own the website.
Thank you in advance!

Thanks for the confirmation!
I have unmapped adamlab.ca along with freeing up a credit so you add another domain to the site.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
