Pls clarify the latest rules re: Reader & importing post images

Hi there,
With the new Reader I have seen a few staff responses saying that things “may change” or things may be “updated”. In particular in this stream from the blog https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2015/07/13/reader-refresh/
I was just wondering if there is clarification of exactly how the Reader pulls through images right now. ie which one. Feature image 1st or 1st image in post or… you get the picture.
Also are there settings that we should know about that effect the pull through. For example if you have set your posts to exert only or full post etc…
Images are incredibly important in gaining interest so I’m keen to know exactly the algorithm and think many will be too.

Hi Saxter, the more in-depth algorithms may well be adjusted from time to time, so I wouldn’t put too much worry into learning what’s current.
But I can say this: if a featured image is specified, we will use that image. So add featured images whenever possible, and be sure your featured image is at least as big as the minimum size recommended by your theme.
