PLS HELP! Confused!

  hi, i am new to wordpress. The following are my questions,

  1) am i unable to use themes from other sources for wordpress since i am using wordpress’s hosting?
  2) is there a need for me to download wordpress from wordpress.org? what is it for?

  With a WordPress.COM blog, you can’t download themes from other sources. The only ones we can use are in your dashboard under appearance.

  You don’t need the WordPress.ORG software if you have a wp.com blog. That is for bloggers who are paying to host their own sites. Read the links above for more details.
