Pls. help! Losing what few remaining followers I have left since I went to a .com address. People ca

More and more of my friends are complaining that it’s TOO frustrating to get into my site since I went to a .com address. They’re blocked and are too busy to try and figure out why they’re blocked, so they’re asking that I drop them from my email list that I (personally) send out…..Why would so many of them be blocked?????? Thanks!

Hi Lucie,
The only reason I can think of is if you are sending out links that are “https://lifeinluciesshoes.com” rather than “http://lifeinluciesshoes.com”. Note the “s” in “https”. If you attempt to go to a site using “https” and that site does not have an SSL installed on it (which your site does not), then a warning which is what sounds like is happening for your friends.
If you are not inviting your readers to view your site in https, could you perhaps get the language that is showing up on these blocked pages, or even get a screenshot of the blocked page? You can upload a screenshot to your media library where I can view it. Here’s some information on how to take a screenshot if you’re not familiar with the process:

Many thank you’s for your prompt and insightful reply! You guys really ARE the HAPPINESS ENGINEERS! I think a number of them(followers) were helped with the “https” comment. The other ones , I’m still trying to connect with to find out what “language is showing up”…..Thank you so very much for your input. I was so, so frustrated (and kind of sad) when people were “just giving up and not reading me any more”…Any way, thank s, again. I hope I can connect with the others, soon!!! :)

Excellent! Just let me know any additional information you get and I’ll be happy to take a look for you.
In the mean time, I hope you have a great week! :)
