  How do I add WP plug in? My blog is hosted here in WP.

  Please review the sticky at the head of these forums labeled Answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions here at WP.com. Plugins are not allowed since they’re a security risk. Also most of them are written for regular wordpress, not the wordpress multiuser platform we have here and may or may not work.

  If I have a wordpress.com account can I (or do I need to convert) to a wordpress.org account to include plugins for added functionality. May be dumb question but am a novice.

  You certainly can change to a wp.org blog, vtmiller, and yes, you’ll be able to have whatever plugins you want because it’ll be self-hosted. Why don’t you head over to wordpress.org and you’ll find more information there about how to do that?
