    Hello,

I am looking for a plug-in that I can use ,so the users coming to my future website, could create profiles, message each other etc. Currently I have found that there is a wp-recall, but would you please suggest any others or give a feedback about wp-recall.

    Thank you in advance!

  • Hey there,

Here at WordPress.com, you aren’t able to install a third- party plugin like Wp-Recall. All of the plugins available to us are already installed. You can read about them here:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

If there’s a specific plugin you want WordPress.com to support, head on over to the ideas forum and let them know!

Another option is to self- host with a WordPress.org install. Third- party plugins can be installed if you self-host, but you are much more responsible for the technical upkeep of the site. You can read about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Hope this helps!

Thank you for your help, Rossviviano!

This time I am looking for an app or something that I can install on website without coding etc.

If you have any other ideas, please, share.

Currently, I have signed up to Blog, as it was for free and I wanted to explore a bit more, but in future I will be upgrading to Business. Therefore what about BuddyPress?

  • BuddyPress is a great solution that seems to fit your needs.
You will need to host your site elsewhere to install it, though. Like I said, third- party plugins (like BuddyPress) can’t be installed here at WordPress.com, even with an upgraded business plan.
I’d seriously consider self- hosting with a WordPress.org install. This means you will need to purchase hosting through a company like BlueHost, Pressable, etc.
Check out WordPress.org to get started.
