    WordPress.com shows ads on free sites to cover the costs, to keep your free site for free.

    If you don’t want those ads on your site, you can upgrade to the Personal Plan

    Hey there,

    As mentioned by @staartmees, we do include advertisements on our free plan, and you can remove these ads by upgrading to any paid plan including the Personal plan.
