Plug-in directory, /wp-content/plugins/, mass confusion/ ignorance

I have no idea how to get to the plugin directory to install a video player plugin. Im new to wordpress so some step by step help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to install this:

so the long and the short of it is that we can’t put the tweetmeme button on our blogs then?

I don’t know. I don’t know the Tweetmeme button. I use the twitter button on GetSocial, myself. If the Tweetmeme button is ONLY available in plugin form then the long and short of it is that you can’t use it on a blog here.

I went through tweetmeme with another blogger a while back and tweetmeme is soooo broken. The code they had posted on their site was b0rked and there were other issues on the backend. I sent them a total of 6 contacts identifying issues and giving bug fixes for their code/system.
Theoratically there is a way to use it here, but in practice, it does not work – at least as of a month ago.
