Plug in install WooCommerce

I have a WP site however is it hosted thru Netfirms. I want to install a WooCommerce plug in but I have to buy the plugin. It keeps telling me I need a WordPress to access WooCommerce.
When I set up my site originally, I added the WooCommerce plug in directly from that plugin menu. I did not create a WooCommerce account. I’ve tried my WP login info but that is not working.
To even be on this forum for help, I registered for a WP account that is in no way connected to my website. I am lost and very frustrated.
Any ideas? -
