Plug-in question – wp-client

  I’m new to Word press…totally new!
  I’m looking to build a website with a client portal so we can give customers access to their own page with a username and password so they can access documents we upload for them after we’ve done work, i.e. reports, invoices, etc.

  I have looked at the WP-CLIENT plugin app that’s available and looks very user friendly https://wp-client.com. My question really is can this be installed in wordpress from a site created in wordpress.com or does the wordpress site need to be hosted with another provider?

  That’s the answer to your question. You will need to hire a web host and set up a wordpress.ORG software install for that kind of site. See: Moving to Self-Hosted WordPress http://move.wordpress.com
