Plug-In Request. – iG:Syntax Hiliter
-
I would like to request a plug-in for coloring the sourcecode.( eg: iG:Syntax Hiliter ) because if I do the coloring manually, it’s taking very long time ..
Thanks a lot.

Best bet would be to submit a feedback with a pointer to this thread to show staff that we’ve discussed the matter and so that they can see the level of interest there is in this feedback. That’s what they have suggested in teh past for requests like this one.

As Matt announced the diligent people at wordpress have merged syntaxhighlighter Google Code project by Alex Gorbatchev into wordpress. As I tried it out for python, though, it wouldn’t work for me. I went as suggested in the faq:
[sourcecode language="python"] my python code [/sourcecode]. Any suggestions? -
Perhaps http://wordpress.org/support is the forum you are looking for.
This forum is only for those with blogs hosted by wordpress.com and we do not have plugins here. -
Nope. He has a wp.com blog. Look in your dashboard for the link to Matt’s annoucement (or click on the link in sysblogd’s post).
I’d say send in something to support through your dashboard.

@mark
Thanks for correcting it. The highlighter now shows up. Allthough I still have a (minor) problem: In my post I writeprimes <1000in a python codes comment. But either way I edit it (WYSIWYG or code editor) it will always be convert toPrimes <1000automatically. Could that, too, be fixed, please? Or is that a bug upstream? Tell me, if that needs to be reported via support.@thistimethisspace
No worries, TA anyway!Cheers.

… well, it converts to…
Primes & l t ; 1000
(maybe it shows up correctly this time. Please consult my post if not)
