Plug ins
-
Hello, I have a premium plan but I don’t see the ability to us a plug in. Shouldn’t that be possible with the Premium Plan? What I am trying to do is have a selection of videos (probably Youtube) that I want people to be able to select and view. I don’t want to just embed each separately down the page because that would be rather juvenile looking. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,

No, you are on the wrong track if you think that you can purchase any upgrade for blogger installed plugins.
Perhaps you did not read this support doc carefully:
Important Notes Before Upgrading
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgradingre: plugins
You are confusing wordpress.com hosted blogs and wordpress.org software installs. There is no FTP access https://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/ and no blogger installed plugin capability. Blogger installed plugins are not permitted here at WordPress.com for various security reasons. No upgrade changes that reality. https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

The video embeds in posts and pages that WordPress.com supports for all of our blogs – no upgrade required are found here.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/Video shortcodes are here http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/#video
Note to post your own videos requires a videopress upgrade unless they are on youtube or another source site that is supported and the videopress support doc location is https://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/
Example:
For youtube embedding into wordpress.COM blogs see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/For using the shortcode see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode
For troubleshooting see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#troubleshooting
NOTE: If you are trying to embed a youtube channel code that will not work.
If you still have issues with a specific video please provide the video URL and also the URL of the post.

Thanks for the info. There was no upgrade… It was just the plan that the person got, then added me to make a benefit site for a friend recently diagnosed with cancer. I had no idea what is possible, hence my question.
So it looks like the short answer is ‘no’ because of the kind of account/plan this is. It seems like I should be able to somehow show a handful of videos in a list that are on Youtube without using a plugin. Wondering if I can do it with code to display a handful of videos like this: <img src=”http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/images/flvplayer.jpg”>

Hello pedalboardhotmailcom!
You can do something similar creating a playlist in your Youtube account and adding the playlist link to a post/page. You can check the result on the screenshots below:
