    I watched a YouTuber’s video where they demonstrated creating a website for free on WordPress and adding themes and plugins without any upgrade plan. However, when I try to create a website on WordPress, I can’t upload themes and plugins without an upgrade plan. Is it necessary for me to get an upgrade plan?

    Sounds like that YouTube video you were watching most likely showed WordPress running on a local computer or a different host. While the WordPress.org software is free, you will need to have a hosting service, which usually has a separate fee.
