  I have a self hosting
  I have Premium upgrade
  BUT wordpress wil not allow me to add a plugin “Magic Action Box” to my blog, can anyone please help

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey Matt –

  By self-hosting, do you mean you have a hosting account elsewhere (GoDaddy, MediaTemple, BlueHost, etc) where you have the WordPress.org files uploaded and installed?

  Or did you mean you had purchased a custom domain?

  Premium upgrade sounds like a WordPress.com site, and your blog linked above is hosted on WordPress.com.

  Blogs hosted on WordPress.com cannot use third party plugins, for security reasons.

  Hi ok I think I understand I’m a novice
  It’s through a private hosting the company that produced my blog

  They made me admin

  I purchased the wordpress domain address

  Is there anyway around things

  I need this if in ???

  This is not a self hosted wordpress.ORG install http://mattstirland.com/
  It is a wordpress.COM hosted blog.

  Take note that blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality. You are confusing WordPress.ORG and WordPress.COM. For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted site running on a paid web hosting service.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   If you wish to hire a web host and move your content into a self hosted WordPress.ORG software install read on please.

  1. Hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/

  2. Set up a WordPress.org install and equip it with a theme and plugins.

  http://wordpress.org/plugins/

  3. Export your content out of your WordPress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ and import it into the install.

  4. Purchase a site redirect upgrade from wordpress.com
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/ or if you have domain mapping then update the nameservers
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers

  5. Transfer subscribers and stats. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/

  6. Set your wordpress.com blog visibility to private. To change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
