I’m using a free version of word press. I want to click on “plugins” in wordpress under my admin. area and install XML sitemap but look like I need to upgrade my wordpress before I can use this plugin function. Please verify. If so, is the premium version of wordpress include the plugins function?

The premium upgrade will not let you use Plugin’s – they are not allowed on WordPress.COM blogs for security and performance issues – you also do not have FTP access
Plugin’s require your own host and installing the WordPress.ORG software
What Plugin do you think you can’t live without?
there are a lot of built in plugins – they are called widgets and short codes
