plugin for a wordpress.com blog
-
I am very new to blogging. I recently purchased my domain name and a wordpress.com blog (my blog is (email visible only to moderators and staff)). I didn’t understand what a plugin was when I started this project. I realize that for my food blog, I need a recipe plugin, such as the free version of ReciPress. I am very confused. I guess I am not allowed to have any plugins at all? Not even the ones “in the wordpress repertoire?” If I have to do a self-hosted blog, that will be overload on my brain and I don’t want to invest a lot of money in this until I get some practice blogging. thank you

We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.
