Plugin for Generating Feature Image
-
Many of my post contain external image, but yet wordpress.com seem to automatically use the first one as feature image (even when it is not in media library). Normal WordPress would not do that? Any one know what plugin it is?

Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality. You are confusing WordPress.ORG and WordPress.COM. For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted site running on a paid web hosting service.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ Get hosting here http://wordpress.ORG/hosting/

HI timethief, my point is, stock WordPress will not automatically use first external image as feature image, so WordPress.COM must have used some plugin to achieve that. I wonder what it is.

I don’t know but what I do know is that Staff have been responding to such questions in the thread I linked to.
