Plugin for Mobile posts that include text, photo and short video clips

    I’d like a plugin that makes it easy to reliably do mobile posts that include text, pix and video, with the video hosted somewhere that plays video well (ie not WordPress.com and not my self-installed WordPress site (on a shared server)

    The problem to be solved
    When travelling, I can easily use the WordPress mobile app to post text and pix. However, with this plugin, adding video to the post is:

    • unreliable and
    • posted to my server – I prefer to use a cloud service like Youtube

    However, sending short snippets to youtube, then adding shortcodes to my post is clumsy. So I either make the effort when I get home to combine a bunch of video clips into one youtube video, or I just don’t bother with video.

    It would be nice to be able to do this easily.

    Thx. It’s a general purpose question. This is a plugin that I don’t think exists. I would have found it useful on a couple of my previous blogs and I’m currently developing a website for my son, possibly using WordPress.

    FWIW, I may now be in a position to create this type of plugin but I’m wondering if another solution already exists. A plugin that lets me do an easy mobile post using any combination of text, pix, video in any order. The WordPress app does a nice job for text and pix but not video. As I recall, video hosted on my blog on WordPress.com wasn’t a terrific viewer experience but things may have evolved since then.

    http://lifetales.com is not a WordPress.com nor a self hosted WordPress site (I know the difference). I haven’t decided how I’ll create his site yet – still exploring options.

    Blogger installed plugins and third party or custom themes cannot be used on WordPress.COM hosted sites unless you have a Business Plan http://wordpress.com/plans/

    Yes, I know LifeTales is hosted at Github. That’s my site. This post is about setting up a site for my son, a musician. I think WordPress — either .com or self-hosted — might be a good option, along with Squarespace and Wix, but I’m still assessing.
