My blog is featured on their site and I’d like to include their widget on my blog http://www.encounterswithstrangers.com but they want me to do it as a plugin which you can’t do on wordpress anymore. See their out dated directions here: https://thebesty.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
Can you help with this? Thanks!

We WordPress.COM bloggers have never had FTP access and the ability to install plugins. Only those with WordPress.ORG installs have that ability.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/See here for a full comparison WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins and or any third party themes on blogs hosted by WordPress.COM like yours.
If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.

Thanks for clarifying. They also give an HTML option, but the HTML doesn’t work on the Text widget either. I’ve tried this on a new Page as well as in the Text widget.
<script src=”//tb1-visionairellc.netdna-ssl.com/assets/public/scripts/widget.load.min.js?widget_id=TBN9WOC38T8038″ type=”text/javascript”></script>

You can’t use it. It’s a JavaScript widget and the software strips the code out for security reasons. We have code restrictions on WordPress.COM hosted blogs: See here:

If I were you I’d talk to them about it. The least you can do is put their RSS feed in an RSS widget so that the titles of their latest articles display.
