Plugin for users to create/join groups and post within groups?

  Hi, I am trying to allow users to create/join their own groups and post pictures to a food menu within those groups. Are there any plugins that can allow for just this function instead of offering an entire social network like Buddypress?

  Any advice is appreciated, cheers.
