Plugin for YOAST SEO is saying : Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.

    Every time I try to download the YOAST SEO plugin it says ‘Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.’ I do not know how to fix this issue. is there a way wordpress can help me ?

    Hi there,

    This does not sound like a WordPress.com hosted site, as we do not have a way to work with plugins unless you have upgraded to our WordPress.com Business Plan and I do not see an upgrade on your account when I check here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

    Is it possible you created your site under a different login?  Is it the case that you are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
