Plugin Installation
-
Hi there guys,
I’ve been trying to install a couple of plugins and could use a little help.
When I try to install a plugin I get the following error:
Security certificate required: We are setting up a security certificate for your domain now. Please try again in a few minutes.
I have this for 2 days now and was wondering what the usual time frame for getting the security certificate setup is.
Thanks for you help.

Hi, @jimdhope,
With the Business Plan (I am assuming since you have plugin capability), your best bet is to add a support ticket. It will be an email ticket this week.
wordpress.com/help/contact/
Please be patient as response times are anticipated to be longer than normal this week, but they will respond to you.
Hint: Be sure not to add additional tickets, it pushes your response down in the queue.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly Christine
I’ll drop them a line and see if they can help.

They will definitely help you out, just a tough week to get a super quick response. :-) Best Regards.

Odd. It looks like your site is brand new. Congratulations.
Probably just things catching up – unless you still need to confirm things via email. Sometimes that is an issue.
I’ll go ahead and tag staff here, then, with the modlook tag.

Hi –
The SSL certificate is going to come from your domain provider. ercwebcast.co.uk looks to be registered from ERC Webcast. You’ll want to contact them for that.
-
I read in your help that after I’d set the name servers that you would organise SSL through Let’s Encrypt. I haven’t found any other instruction that don’t require ssh.
-
The the SSL is typically issued with in a few days. Sorry for my last reply, I had it in my mind that you were setting up a WordPress installation site. Disregard that last reply.
To try and help the process speed up I’ve removed and added the Mapping upgrade.
