Plugin lr/blog
-
I’ve installed a plugin in Adobe Lightroom – called lr/blog.
This should upload my pics directly from Lightroom to my blog here on WordPress.But i get a failure note ‘raquo’.
So Lightroom can’t connect with WordPress. Is there anything I need to change here in WP? -
Only the WordPress.com Business plan allows use of selected eCommerce plugins from Shopify, Ecwid, and Gumroad.
http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/wordpress-business/?ref=ecom
https://en.support.wordpress.com/ecommerce/Otherwise, blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs, and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
For that type of functionality, you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins (passwords), features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You can hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and move your content into a WordPress.ORG install https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

But it’s not a WordPress Plugin like the shops… the plugin is for lightroom. And I know a lot of people using this with a .COM and without business plan…
But thanks.Any other idea?

I have the same issue with my Lightroom Plug-in to upload pictures from Lightroom to WP. So it is not the same as what you stated above. It is NOT an ecommerce plug in. It is a plug-in in Lightroom to allow for images to be exported to WordPress.
I had been using this for two years until just recently I am no longer able to export images from Lightroom directly to WP.
Were there any changes done on the WP side that caused this? This is specific to WP since I can still export images from Lightroom to my desktop.
Thank you -
@bacardimaedel
What I posted above is 100% correct. For a lightroom plugin one has to have a wordpress.ORG software install (1) running on their own server or (2) on paid web hosting, in order to have FTP access and blogger installed plugin capability. -
@mllowe
See what I posted above and it is correct.You are confusing wordpress.com hosted blogs and wordpress.org software installs. There is no FTP access https://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/ to wordpress.com hosted blogs and there is no blogger installed plugin capability
https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ There is no upgrade that changes this reality. https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/This guide will explain how to move your WordPress.com site to another hosting platform: Moving to a Self-Hosted WordPress Site

Sorry for repeating myself. But we are still talking about different things.
The plugin is for lightroom!!!! Do you even know this program??
Somehow – i still don’t know exactly why – it’s working now. And my Problem is solved.
And yes with a wordpress COM Blog….So timethief thank you so much for your big help and the great support………

Hi Timethief,
Thank you for your response. Although I agree with what you said is 100% correct we are still not on the same page.I have been a wordpress.COM user for 4 years now. I have been using Adobe Lightroom application to manage my images. Through the LR/BLOG export plug (in Lightroom) I have been exporting/uploading images from Lightroom to my WordPress.COM blogsite and all of a sudden it is unable to do so.
For your reference here is the link to the export plug-in
http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrblog.phpThank you for your response but no action required from your end. Like any other issues I have with WP, it just resolves itself just like bacardimaedel above.

@bacardimaedel
@mllowe
I do not know the program. However, I have answered support questions here dating back to the time when there were no support docs and there was only 1 staff member on support. I have now bookmarked this thread so what mllowe provied above can be referred to in the future. Thanks mllowe. :) Best wishes to you both. -
Timethief,
I’m afraid the other users are correct, you are talking about two different things that are both called “plugins”. However, unlike the normal WordPress.com forums user, they are asking about plugins FOR the Lightroom program. Not WordPress.org plugins.

Regarding the issues with the Lightroom plugin…
The two most common solutions are:
1. Double check your address and login credentials that you are useing on the plugin’s settings page.
2. Make sure that XML-RPC is selected as the protocol: http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrblog.php?sec=wordpress
