Plugin Needed for Transferring All Blog Content to BlueHost

I was looking into signing up with BlueHost and then hosting my blog on wordpress! HOWEVER, The BlueHost supporter told me that if I move your files over from the other host you would need to update directors. (WHAT DOES THAT MEAN).
He said that some people may just re-create the site rather than update all of the directors – if your site is easily re-creatable (and you can copy content, just rebuild the structure). BUT MY SITE IS NOT EASILY RECREATABLE!
So does anyone have a solution?

  • Hello

Are you looking to move your current WordPress.com site? The one located at anywherewithbrooke.wordpress.com?

Honestly, I’m not sure what they mean by updating directors.

WordPress.com offers a guided transfer process where they will help you move your site. You can read about this at https://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/.

If you’d like to manually move your website, you can review the process at https://move.wordpress.com.

Your site is currently using the Dyad theme, which is available for use on a self-hosted website.

I hope this helped to point you in the right direction. If you have other questions, please let us know.
