  Why can’t I add plugins?

  Hi,

  At WordPress.com, we do not support third-party plugins or themes to be uploaded. However, we do have some built-in features that may replace the need for most third-party plugins. You can check out a list of options we have on WordPress.com without a plugin here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

  If you must use plugins, you will need to move to a self-hosted WordPress.org site. There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about the differences, please check the following article that details the differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org
