Plugin recommendations?

  Hi all

  I’m looking for a plugin that I need for a customer’s website. Someone recommended BuddyPress, but it seems like overkill to me. Maybe I’m wrong. Anyway, I want to know if anyone can recommend a plugin (or maybe multiple plugins?) that could do what the customer needs.

  What he needs is the ability to have people sign up for membership. There are three membership types or groups. Two of these are paid memberships, and one is free. Members need to be able to create user profiles with information about background and experience, and they need to be able to browse one another’s profiles and send messages. So it’s something between a social network and a job seeker / advertiser site. Any ideas or suggestions?

  I’m not aware of a solution that would work for you, but you would be better served if you asked there : http://wordpress.org/support/ since this is the forums for WordPress.COM no .ORG and there is no plugins here..

  This forum is for sites hosted on WordPress.COM and one of the differences between sites hosted here and self-hosted sites is that WordPress.COM sites are not able to install additional plugins.
