    Can you install a plugin tab in the dash board because I have softwares that I need to add in the plugin tab

    WordPress.com has a lot of built-in features that were inspired by popular plugins. Chances are, the feature you are looking for is already there! You can search our support site via this link:

    It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs. If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction:

    Trying to add Disqus to my WordPress Site
    IT SAYS:
    1. In the left panel of my WordPress admin, select Plugins > Add New
    2. Search for “Disqus”.
    3. Select Install Now > Activate Plugin
    4. Follow the onscreen install instructions
    I’ll go farther, since I can’t do 1.

    We can’t instal Disqus on any free hosted WordPress.com blog. This is a multiuser blogging platform. Our blogs are not free standing. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins. There is no upgrade you can purchase that will provide FTP access and the ability to install plugins, upload themes, and/or edit templates and themes in a free hosted WordPress.com blog.

    We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and I think you are posting to the wrong support forum.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names.

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
