Plugin update issue

  Till few weeks back, i can directly update my plugins without using ftp credentials and now to update my plugins, i am asked to input all ftp credentials. Doing that i get an error message saying ‘Update Failed: Could not create directory.’ Is there any other way i can update my plugin?

  On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

  If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please ask for help at https://wordpress.org/support/ instead.
