  There are some built in plugins at wordpress.com, but you can’t install the plugins from wordpress.ORG for your wordpress.COM blog.

  Sometimes widgets will get the job done. You can add widgets to your site here, by clicking the “Widgets” button: https://richardh5.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php
