  I have to add a plugin in my blog. Currently my blog is hosted at wordpress and I understand that I need to setup my own hosting to have plugins used. Can you advice now to host the blog in my server.

  No. For advice on self-hosting, you need to ask at WordPress.ORG, which does support for independent blogs. This forum is only for blogs staying at WordPress.COM.
